Divorce & Inherited Home Real Estate in Boulder County

Careful, discreet guidance when a home sale or purchase is part of a divorce, an estate, or another major life transition.

For Referring Professionals

A Steady Real Estate Partner Through Life’s Transitions

Many people don’t make major real estate decisions during the easiest chapters of their lives. They may be navigating a divorce, adjusting to the loss of a loved one, managing an inherited property, or rebuilding their lives after a significant transition. During these times, buying or selling a home can add another layer of stress to an already emotional experience. That’s where I can help.

For more than twenty years, I’ve represented buyers and sellers with one guiding principle: protect my clients’ interests through careful planning, thorough due diligence, clear communication, and ethical representation.

Before becoming a Realtor®, I built my career in institutional fixed-income finance, specializing in mortgage-backed securities. I later practiced family law in California. Those experiences taught me to analyze complex issues, anticipate potential problems, and understand how legal, financial, and real estate decisions intersect.

Divorce Real Estate

Selling the marital residence or buying a new home after divorce, with neutral, even-handed communication with both parties and attention to court-ordered timelines.

Probate & Inherited Homes

Preparing, pricing and selling an estate property or inherited home, and coordinating with personal representatives, heirs and their professional team when appropriate.

Life Transitions

Downsizing, relocating, or moving toward greater independence—planned around your timeline and what matters most to you.

My Commitment

  • Treat every client with compassion and respect.
  • Communicate clearly, consistently, and proactively.
  • Protect the client’s interests through careful planning and due diligence.
  • Approach sensitive circumstances with professionalism and discretion.
  • Respect confidentiality and appropriate professional boundaries.
  • Help reduce the practical stress of buying or selling a property.

Choosing a Divorce or Probate Realtor®

When searching for a divorce Realtor or probate Realtor, you’ll see a number of designations. Programs such as the Certified Divorce Real Estate Expert (CDRE®), the Real Estate Collaboration Specialist–Divorce (RCS-D™), and the Residential Real Estate Divorce Specialist offer agents focused training in divorce-related sales, and probate-focused programs such as the Certified Probate Real Estate Specialist (CPRES) and senior-focused designations do the same for estate and senior moves.

These programs provide valuable education. When you compare agents, also consider experience, judgment, and background. Tamara brings a legal education, experience practicing family law in California, and more than twenty years of real estate experience to divorce, probate and inherited-property transactions.

Questions to Ask Any Agent

  • How will you communicate with both parties—or with the personal representative and heirs?
  • How do you handle court orders, deadlines and confidentiality?
  • How will the home be priced, prepared and marketed?
  • Will you coordinate with attorneys, mediators or other professionals when the client requests it?
